Over the last few years, Jimmy Billingham has delivered all manner of intergalactic explorations under the HOLOVR alias, releasing via such labels as Opal Tapes, Firecracker and Further. Now he brings his unique brand of semi-improvised, melody-driven bliss to Happy Skull for the first their first release of 2017.

HOLOVR productions variously echo the timeless feel of vintage ambient, 90's intelligent techno and mind-altering electronica, whilst remaining a truly unique proposition. This mixture of influences, ideas and sounds can be heard across the two tracks that make up HAPSKL012.

A-side "Melody 4 Your Mind" is a pure endorphin rush: a densely textured pulp of deep space chords, pitched vocal samples and fractured, post electro rhythms. On the flip you'll find the more forthright "You Belong 2", an undulating, constantly mutating epic that alternates between glacial, otherworldly beauty and psychedelic intensity. This is emotive, melancholic music for bleak times.
